NISLT, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Christopher Adeyanjie quoted Wike as saying that collaboration between the two institutes would advance training, education and research in biotechnology which invariably would help food production.
“The Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology is therefore encouraged to collaborate with this institute to advance biotechnology education in promoting food security,” Wike was quoted to have said.
The minister also urged NISLT to continuously play its role as a professional entity that monitors the works of “science and technologists who work in various laboratories of tertiary institutions, research centres, health, industries, petrochemical and agriculture and who play a definite role in attaining food security in terms of quality, quantity and safety for good living and development of the country.”
