According to a release signed by Idowu Jekpeyibo of the Information Department of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the Minister, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina was quoted making the call while signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) on revamping the teaching of Nigerian young entrepreneurs in modern agriculture.
He said that revamping of such farms would also give the students of agriculture an opportunity to learn the practical aspects of what they were being thought.
The minister said the need to sign MoU with the university was borne out of his recent visit to the teaching and research farms of the institution and felt there was urgent need to return the farms to what they used to be.
