The Minister for State, Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has underscored the importance of innovation and enterprise among Nigerian youth, stressing their crucial role in driving national development and economic prosperity.
During an official visit to Al-Imam Tea Herbs Pure and Healthy Nigeria Limited, a youth-driven beverages company based in Kano, manufacturers of Z & Y Black Tea, the minister commended the company’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to youth empowerment.
He said, “This is the essence of our advocacy – the concept of ‘one local government, one product’. It’s inspiring to see young people like these making significant strides without reliance on government support,” remarked Minister Olawande. “Employing over 500 young individuals is commendable, and it aligns with our vision of encouraging youths to engage in multiple ventures.”
Expressing his support for the company’s initiatives, the minister pledged to champion their cause at the highest levels of government. “I will personally engage with the president and advocate for increased support from the Ministry of Trade and Investment.
