Mrs. Sarah Reng Ochekpe, water resources minister who gave the directive at a meeting with the managing directors said that those who failed to carry out the instruction would be disciplined.
She said the ministry will not tolerate unnecessary delays in the implementation of constituency projects billed for this year.
Responding to the minister’s directives, the MDs said that all constituency projects under their authority have been procured and implementation has started in earnest, having reached between 40 – 50 per cent completion stage.
They stated that a number of projects have been completed and that by the end of December all others would also be completed except those for which funding would spill over to the 2014 budget.
