Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev has resumed duty as water and sanitation minister with a promise to sanitise the two sectors.
He resumed on Monday alongside the Minister of State, Bello Muhammed Goronyo.
Prof. Utsev, who promised to immediately visit agencies and some ongoing and abandoned projects in the ministry, expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve Nigeria in ministerial capacity.
He acknowledged the dedication, resourcefulness, and contributions of the ministry’s staff and its agencies and called for commitment to ethical values, promising an open-door policy that will encourage teamwork, regular interactions, and collaboration among staff and stakeholders.

On his part, the Minister of State, Bello Muhammed Goronyo, promised their readiness to utilize staff’s wealth of experience and expertise to drive the execution of policies and programs for the accelerated development of water and sanitation.
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Didi Walson- Jack, assured the ministers of the staff cooperation to move the water and sanitation sector forward.
