He said that he would make his ministerial appointees to declare their assets publicly.
In an exclusively with Sahara TV yesterday he spoke on his plans to deal with corruption as well as ensuring transparency in government’s finance.
“All those that were governors, ministers, permanent secretaries, head of foreign staff and all those with political appointments will have to declare their assets on the assumption of their appointment and definitely with the courts. And once they leave they have to re-declare their assets,” he said.
He blamed the country’s Minister of finance, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iweala for the seemingly weak economy and the poor financial situation in the country despite projecting figures that portray the economy as healthy and performing.  
The president-elect however stated that his administration would not be preoccupied with investigations in every ministry as that will distract and delay the government from moving forward.
Buhari also said people like former president Olusegun Obasanjo have a lot to offer to his administration because of their experience in governance over the years.
