The ministry also has released N1 million grants to some cassava processors to enable them step up their business and adjust same for massive production of cassava flour.
Adesina disclosed this yesterday at a one-day training workshop organised by the ministry in collaboration with BMGF: Cassava Adding Value for Africa-CAVA for South/East and South/South Cassava Processors on High Quality Cassava Flour held at the ultra-modern Cassava Processing Centre, Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State.
The minister, represented at the event by the Cassava Value Chain Desk Officer in the ministry, Mr. Ayeni Olusegun, stated that the essence of the workshop is to train the cassava processors to be fully knowledgeable in the production of cassava flour.
He advised them to avail themselves of the opportunity and the environment provided by the ministry to ensure they impact themselves for mass production and harnessing the agricultural produce in the country.
