I wish to draw the attention of  the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir, that the good people of Miri Ward have cried enough, having been left behind in almost everything particularly, in terms of infrastructure, empowerment among other areas of developments.

Education is paramount. In Nigeria today, once you do not attend school you are being regarded as an illiterate. It is the reason why education especially in Nigeria is necessary, hence the need to make necessary provisions for our schools so that our children are able to attend and address the issue of out-of-school children.

They are roaming on the streets, begging and involving in all manner of hardships which a 30 year old man cannot withstand, just to make a living and support their parents at home.

Many of our children have become victims of kidnappers, ritualists and sexual attacks because they roam the streets.

The existing primary school in Rafin Tambari village in Miri Ward is dilapidated. Most of the roofs in the buildings have been blown off and children learn under the scorching sun or rain. We would be most grateful if the government rehabilitates the structures in the school.

We would also like the government to employ more teachers for the school to enhance learning.

I would, however, like to commend the government for the construction of the road that that links the Sabon Kaura and Rafin Tambari Village. This effort by the governor is greatly appreciated by the people.
