Suspected hoodlums have reportedly stabbed a man, identified as Michael Azuka, and escaped with his phone at a bushy area in Dabi, in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
City & Crime had reported an attack on a woman by some hoodlums around the area last month, during which they escaped her phone and hand bag.
A resident of Dabi, simply identified as Usman, said the incident happened on Monday, around 9:30pm when the victim alighted from a bike and was on his way home when the hoodlums accosted him.
He said the hoodlums who usually stayed around the thick bushes in the area to smoke Indian hemp, attacked their victims especially at night.
According to him, the victim who sustained serious injuries on hands was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the area.
Meanwhile, residents who spoke with our reporter have decried the activities of hoodlums and miscreants in the area, saying they have turned the bushes where they smoked and attack passersby into a danger zone.
“In fact, when it is 9pm, nobody can pass by the bushes as these hoodlums and miscreants target any person to steal phones and inflict injuries on people and escape,” he said.
The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command. SP Adeh Josephine, was yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing the report
