The pageant started in 1995 and this is the 6th edition. Her star prize included a brand new Kia Rio and a trip to South Africa.

She said so far, the project has donated to motherless babies and has also given scholarships to two female students (one in secondary school, the other in university). She said it could do more with more contributions from spirited Nigerians.

“Most people frown at mentally and physically deformed persons but forget that they are human beings with spirit, soul and body and that given the opportunity, they can function very well and help build our society. Therefore, I have taken up this task and will not relent until we succeed,” she said.

She also harped on the importance of love in the society saying it is the force that can keep Nigeria together.

Ansor Productions, organisers of the pageant say the decision to organise the pageant was not to celebrate beauty but love. Miss Florence Hungbo, the pageant managers/makeup artist, Ansor Productions also said there was no cash gift because the beauty queen is supposed to create opportunities to run her project.
