The 6th edition of the Misters of Nigeria pageant held on April 23, 2026, at the MUSON Centre, Lagos, brought together style, competition, and purpose in what proved to be a defining night for male pageantry in Nigeria and across Africa.
At the peak of the night, Valentine Udemadu of Anambra State was crowned Mister of Nigeria 2026, emerging as the overall winner after a strong and consistent performance. A law graduate, child rights advocate, and creative, he was also named Misters of Nigeria Ambassador 2026 and confirmed as Nigeria’s first representative to the newly announced Misters of Africa competition.
Other titleholders were also unveiled, each set to represent Nigeria on international platforms. Abure Ebosetale Gideon of Edo State who finished 1st Runner up was crowned Mister International Nigeria 2026 and will compete at the 20th edition of Mister International scheduled for September 26, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. Kelechi Chiazor Amonu-Jones of Imo State earned the title of Mister Global Nigeria 2026 and is set to represent Nigeria at Mister Global in October in Thailand, alongside Miss Global Nigeria, Aisha Abubakar.
Ayeloja Samuel of Kwara State was named Manhunt International Nigeria 2026 and will represent the country in Sri Lanka, while Chidi-Nweloke Oscar of Enugu State secured the title of Mister Model Nigeria 2027, earning the opportunity to compete internationally in 2027. Representing Oyo State, Alex Temitope Adetuwo was crowned Caballero Universal Nigeria 2026, further highlighting the diversity of talent recognized on the night.
Beyond the competition, the event also welcomed a number of distinguished international guests, reinforcing its growing continental relevance. Among them were King Touré Migadji Hermann, Mister Côte d’Ivoire 2026; Joseph Kwame Nkrumah, Mister Ghana 2025; Salvador Crisball, Mr World Africa 2024 and Mr World Angola 2024; renowned Ghanaian designer Bismarck Coffie; and Elizabeth Delali Asimah, Executive Director of Mister Ghana.
A major highlight of the evening was the official announcement of the Misters of Africa competition by 97th Entertainment Founder, Emmanuel TM Somto. The new continental platform is expected to bring together representatives from across Africa, although details regarding its inaugural edition are yet to be confirmed. The announcement has already generated widespread anticipation within the pageant community.
The outgoing titleholder, Somto Alexander Nnoruga, delivered his final walk, marking the close of his reign and symbolically passing the torch to a new generation of leaders and representatives.
With a blend of competition, culture, and forward-thinking announcements, Misters of Nigeria 2026 not only crowned winners but also reinforced its position as a platform shaping the future of male pageantry in Africa.
