MoAllahyidi was appointed Permanent Member of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board by the Governor Murtala Nyako.
For MoAllahyidi, who started as a classroom teacher in the then famous Islamiya now Yelwa Primary School in Jimeta after obtaining his Grade Two certificate, it was a befitting appointment. The school has produced eminent sons and daughters of Adamawa State which include the current Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry for Special Duties, Alhaji Mahmud Abubakar, General Manager of Adamawa Television Corporation Alhaji Usman Ahmed Dadah, including yours truly and many who are too numerous to mention in this piece .
Not only those, there are others, who made their marks in the military and paramilitary, the school has also produced eminent jurists and bureaucrats who passed through this teacher who has shaped the destiny of this great country.
Alhaji MoAllahyidi after years of service as a classroom teacher, seconded his services to local government administration serving in various places in the defunct Gongola later Adamawa State culminating in his retirement as Head of Service in Adamawa State.
During his active years as a public servant, he proved to be a versatile civil servant and in fact, he was the first person in the history of local government administration to be recognized and placed on Grade Level 17 in 2007, which is equivalent to the position of a permanent secretary at the state level.
In the places where he has worked before his retirement, he is credited with superlative performances worthy of emulation by the upcoming generation of public servants not only within the purview of local government administration, but even at the state level.
In his last place of service, he was solely behind the construction of a befitting secretariat, which was fully furnished for the comfort of the civil servants. He is also credited with the harmonious cordial relationship that is existing between the local government employees and the Adamawa State government today.
It is, therefore, not surprising that the present administration in Adamawa State found him worthy for appointment as a Permanent Member of the State Universal Basic Education Board, because of his qualities as an educationist from the scratch. In the board, he gave useful suggestions that went a long way in finding solutions to the myriad of problems with education at the basic level. His stewardship at the board has gone a long way and accentuated the speed of rapid transformations in education at the basic level through the construction of additional classrooms in the state, provision of instructional materials and free school uniforms by the present administration in the state.
Because of his sterling qualities as a public servant, who has done tremendously well for his community, the District Head of Jimeta conferred on him the prestigious title of Wazirin Jimeta in 2001 with the tacit support of the then Lamido of Adamawa late Alhaji Aliyu Mustapha.
With the conferment of this title, Alhaji MoAllahyidi
assiduously worked for the common good and understanding of the divergent ethnic tribes resident in the town. Today, there is a complete understanding among the natives and non-natives of Jimeta.
The Adamawa State Emirate Council always seek for his wise guidance and advice in the efforts at entrenching peace among the people of the town.
He played a significant role in the efforts of the Emirate council in finding lasting solutions to any problem that may crop up in Jimeta in order for cordial relationship to exist among the people.
The late Wazirin Jimeta always believed that the vast generality of people of this great country needs to solidly imbibe the spirit of being together, and there is no need for the divergent nationalities to be fighting one another simply because of differences in tribe or religion.
The lexicon of teachers reward is indeed applicable to Alhaji Mohammed MoAllahyidi as he has done his very best by imparting positively many people, who are today at the corridors of power and shaping the destiny of this country in different fields of endeavours. Indeed, his reward is in heaven.
