A   suspected   kidnapper   was,   on   Tuesday,   killed   by   a   mob   after   his   gang   was overpowered by locals at Unguwar Bello village, Kafur LGA of Katsina State.

The suspect, whose identity   was yet  to  be  ascertained,  had  along with  his  gang reportedly attacked the village to carry out a kidnap operation.

Confirming the incidence, spokesman of the police command in the state, SP GamboIsah, said “At about 2am this morning (Tuesday), the bandits attacked the village withguns shooting sporadically but the villagers resisted the attack.”

He said, one of the bandits was overpowered by the locals and killed before thepolice arrived the village.
