Some irate youths have lynched two suspected motorcycle thieves in  Nasarawa State.

A witness, Usaini Mamman, told Daily Trust that the suspects met their end Saturday evening in Agwolen-lami village in Jankwe Development Area of the state when owners of the stolen motorcycles sighted them riding off on the bikes.

Mamman said, “They tracked down the suspects on their way out of Agwolen-lami where some youths arrested them, and  when the story of their arrest spread dozens others gathered and start beaten them until they passed out. They continued the beating until they were confirmed dead.”

He added that all efforts to hand over the suspects to the police in the area by some Good Samaritans failed due to rising cases of theft of motorcycles in the area.

When contacted, Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Idrisu Kennedy, said he has not been briefed on the incident by the DPO in the area.
