A mob have lynched a suspected motorcycle thief at the old Kutunku village in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
A resident of old Kutunku, Shuaibu Yahaya, said the incident happened on Monday around 3:54 pm when the suspect allegedly stole a bike at a mosque in the area and escaped.
He said the suspect, who also pretended to join prayers inside the mosque, came out of the mosque and quietly took the bike away.
He said a resident, who sighted the suspect, raised an alarm and some people pursued him to a farm where he fell down.

Yahaha said the mob descended on the suspect using logs of wood and hard objects until he gave up the ghost before some vigilantes came to the scene.
A member of the vigilante simply identified as Garba confirmed the incident, saying reported cases of bike theft has become a daily occurrence across Gwagwalada metropolis.
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh could not be reached for comment on the incident.
