A mob set a suspected motorcycle thief ablaze at the Kubwa train station.

A witness, Rabiu Yahaya, a commercial cyclist, said the incident happened on Tuesday at about 11:30am. He said the deceased and his accomplice had attempted to snatch a motorcycle from a commercial rider.

He said their plot was foiled when the victim raised an alarm which attracted the attention of some youths and cyclists.

According to him, the mob went after one of the suspected motorcycle thieves and lynched him on the rail track, while his accomplice was rescued by the police.

Spokesman of the FCT Police Command, DSP Angjuguri Manza, could not be reached for comments.
