The Chief of Kaninkon in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Malam Tanko Tete, has tasked his subjects and new title holders in the chiefdom to join hands and work for the peace and development of the area.

The traditional ruler made the call in his palace during the turbanning of traditional title holders. He expressed satisfaction that the two major ethnic groups in his chiefdom, Nikyob and Fulani, are leaving peacefully.

He congratulated the newly turbaned title holders and urged them to be good ambassadors of the chiefdom.

Speaking on behalf of the celebrants, Yeriman Kaninkon, Engineer Musa Tanko, thanked the chief for finding them worthy for the titles and promised to be loyal and good ambassadors.

The chief turbaned Yahaya Kyama as Wazirin Kaninkon; Elizabeth Koku Hyat (wife of Kaduna State PDP Chairman, Felix Hassan Hyat) as Kwem Nikyob and Musa Tanko as Yeriman Kaninkon.
