Speaking during an award ceremony to 13 highly placed indigenes of the area organised by a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) called Network for the Development of Kankiya,  recently, the monarch urged them to assess their impact to their communities.

Henceforth, he said, for any prominent person to be so recognised and honoured in the area must be subjected to traditional and other social scrutiny to assess his contributions to the development of the area.

The monarch who said the era of deception was now over, regretted the inability of the wealthy individuals in the area to invest and develop the only bank stationed in his domain despite their connection and wealthy background.

Among those recognised include special adviser to the governor on resources development, Engineer Musa Natshuni, a prominent politician, Abdu Halliru Kafin Soli and some professionals and retired civil servants from the area.
