The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr Abubakar Dzukogi, has said stress related illnesses, including hypertension, is increasing among lecturers.

Dr. Dzukogi stated this during the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Bida chapter (ASUP-BD) annual lectures series organized at the institution.

He said stress related illnesses were increasing among lecturers and  that one of the primary cause was the little attention paid by academic staff to their health matters as most of  them carry too much work load and hardly go for medical checkup to ascertain their health condition.
