Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) has stressed the need to expand the platforms for providing education and entertainment contents to media audiences.

This is especially important to capture the younger generation and the upwardly mobile members of the audience.

As 2023 draws to an end, the outfit said it has taken advantage of the digital revolution by amassing over 200 million views on its YouTube channel.

WAP’s YouTube Channel, named “waptvchannel”, contains fresh and classic episodes of WAP’s several contents including Superstory, Papa Ajasco & Company Reloaded, The New Babington Family, Akpan & Oduma, This Life, Binta My Daughter, Mr & Mrs, among others.

Managing Director wapTV, Wole Adenuga, said the new milestone was worthy of celebration. He said the Youtube channel was created in 2012 to expand the platforms of entertainment and interaction with its audience.

“We truly appreciate every single one of our over 600,000 registered subscribers on YouTube: ‘waptvchannel’ which we opened in 2012.

“While we are a company largely known for our long history of over 40 years of providing entertainment through the traditional media platforms – Television and Magazines, we are also a forward-thinking organisation with our fingers on the pulse of New Media, which we use to entertain, inform, educate, and interact with our diverse audience members on Instagram: ‘waptvchannel’, Twitter: ‘wap_tv’, Facebook: ‘waptvchannel’, and TikTok: ‘waptvtiktok’.”
