Managing Director of the company, Mr Demola Ade-Ojo, also said the used cars would have certification and limited warranty.

Demola, who spoke in Lagos last Thursday at the prize presentation to mark the company’s 41st anniversary promo, said the gesture was part of Elizade’s quest to serve its customers better.

“It is my pleasure to mention here that in a couple of months to come, we shall be opening a line of used cars under the brand name CarsUTrust. We want to run the business the way it has never been run before in Nigeria. We shall be offering used cars with certification and limited warranty. The benefits of course you would agree with me are unprecedented in the used car market,” he said.

Unveiling the winners of the three-month promo, Demola announced the names of Peace Mass Transit Limited and Infrastructure Bank Plc. Each of the winners was given a brand new 2012 Toyota Avensis.

He said Peace Mass Transit Limited’s purchase of 100 buses between July 16 and August 1, 2012 qualified the company as the winner for the month of August, adding that the same company also bought 101 vehicles between September 16 and October 15th to emerge winner in October.

According to him, Infrastructure Bank Plc bought 43 vehicles between August 16 and September 15, 2012 to emerge winner in the month of September this year.

He reiterated that the company used the promo as a platform to appreciate its customers for the support shown to Elizade.

“In our forty-plus years of doing business in Nigeria, Elizade Nigeria Limited, has seen it all. The ups and downs; the good and the bad; the great and the not-so-great. Indeed, we have navigated various seas and Almighty, in His kindness and Mercies, has continued to keep us,” he said.

Speaking at the ceremony, Head of Lagos Office of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) expressed satisfaction with the promotion for meeting the council’s standards.

Onyeishi Maduka Samuel, Managing Director of Peace Mass Transit, who spoke on behalf of the winners, said Elizade has built a culture of integrity and service in the auto sector.

Samuel expressed confidence in Elizade and charged Nigerians to patronize the auto company.
