Mother killed in Anambra building collapse, baby survives

A storey building has collapsed in Anambra, killing a 40-year-old woman, but her baby survived the accident.
The infant has been hospitalised.
The incident happened in Umuota village, Obosi, Idemili North local government area.
Many more are said to be trapped in the rubble.
Police have cordoned off the area while rescue efforts contine.
The woman’s identity is yet to be ascertained, said Anambra police spokesman SP Haruna Mohamed.
Her body has been deposited in a mortuary at St Edward Hospital for preservation.
