Speaking exclusively with our reporter, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Superintendent Frank Mba said arrangements were in top gear to confirm the suspect’s mental state before the legal aspect of the crime starts. This was necessitated due to her uncontrollable addiction to hard drugs, especially cocaine. She was reported to have been pleading and requesting for a dose of the illicit drug in police custody, while her attitude gave undoubted indications to the fact that she is was addicted to hard drugs.

The principal suspect, a single mother of two children, whom she claimed had been adopted by State authorities before she returned back into the country, was singing like a parrot while in police custody, divulging both private and confidential information that eventually degenerated into the clubbing of her own mother to death during a brawl. Police sources revealed that after the crime and when the realization of her actions dawned on her, the lady purposely abandoned the corpse of the dead woman and took to her heels. She was said to have taken refuge in a hotel from where she was later arrested by men of the Aguda police station.

She accused her late mother of ritual murder among other internal wrangling.
