An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court has ordered that one Lateef Fajemisin who pleaded guilty to robbing a man of his motorcycle at gunpoint, be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons pending sentencing.

The accused is charged with an offence bordering on conspiracy and armed robbery, punishable with up to 21 years imprisonment under the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Imhonwa, had told court that the accused conspired with others at large and robbed a man, Oriyomi Amuzat, of his Bajaj motorcycle valued at N120,000 at gunpoint at Igbeyinadun in Ikorodu area of Lagos State. He said the accused committed the offence while armed with a locally made double-barreled gun with one live cartridge, cutlasses, daggers and other dangerous weapons.

“Amuzat was accosted by the accused that came with a gun and robbed him of the motorcycle valued at N120,000.

“He was later apprehended by the police at Ikorodu area of Lagos State while trying to sell the stolen motorcycle,” Imhonwa said. (NAN)
