Benjamin Adenekan, a 27-year-old commercial motorcyclist, was arraigned on Thursday in an Okitipupa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State for allegedly stealing a generator, yams, plantain, and chicken worth N137,800.

The defendant, whose address was not given, is facing a two-count charge bordering on felony and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp Ayodeji Omoyeigha, told the court that the defendant and one other still at large committed the crimes on Oct. 12 around 12 pm at Lareda Street, Erinje in Okitipupa, Okitipupa magisterial district.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges and Chief Magistrate Patrick Ajele granted him bail in the sum of N150, 000 with a surety in like sum and adjourned the case until December 23, for further hearing. (NAN)
