Motorcyclists operating in the satellite towns of Abuja have been enjoined to observe traffic rules and regulations to safeguard their lives and those of their passengers.
The Chairman of Wuye motorcycle operators association, Shamsuddin Lawal told Aso Chronicle that the call has become imperative considering the rising number of accidents between their members and other road users especially tippers, trucks and speeding cars.
He said motorcyclists should apply defensive driving because when accidents occur, motorcyclists suffer most.
Lawal also called on motorists to drive with care by observing traffic rules and regulations as some accidents usually involve pupils who are being taken to or from school.
