A motorist has died after he rammed into a stationary sewage evacuation tanker in Gwarimpa.
A source at the Gwarimpa Police Station said the man died few minutes after he was taken to a private hospital in the area.
The source said the deceased was driving a Toyota Corolla car with registration number CY 620 ABC when he lost control and hit the tanker with registration number AAA 410 XC parked by the road side on First Avenue.
The incident happened at about 11:00a.m. on Wednesday.
The Gwarimpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, confirmed the incident.
“We removed the man from the car and took him to a private hospital in Gwarimpa for treatment. He died about 30 minutes while receiving treatment,” he said.
He said the deceased was the only person in the vehicle when the accident happened and that investigation was ongoing.
