In a bid to enrich the content of movies produced in Nigeria, Kannywood in collaboration with Nollywood Workshop and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) has organised a one-day training workshop for practitioners in the Hausa movie industry.
The workshop, according to Mr Bond Emeruwa of Nollywood Workshops, was organised with a view to enlighten the participants on the inclusion of social issues in their films. He said the main purpose of filmmaking is to educate as well as entertain and also to make positive impact on people.
Emeruwaalso said the industry should look beyond making money alone in their films and include one or two social issues to impact positively on the lives of their teaming viewers and fans across the globe.
In his welcome address, national MOPPAN caretaker chairman,Alhaji Ibrahim Mandawari, said the workshop couldn’t have comeat a better time than now,with lots of developments in the industry. He urged participants to put to use what they will learn during the workshop and also replicate same to others for effective result.
