The chairman of the occasion and the Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Muhammad Mainoma urged the newly admitted students to study hard to achieve their goals.
Mainoma charged them to respect the rules and regulations of the university, saying no institution can develop without orderliness.
Earlier, the President of MSSN, Ustaz Abubakar Sulaiman, advised the students to be good ambassadors of Islam by shunning all social vices that will tarnish their image.
Also, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Bashir, urged the students to be serious with their academic work.
Security tips were offered to the students by security operatives of the university.
