MTN, Diamond Bank partner to boost mobile banking in rural areas

Speaking at the launch of the ‘Diamond Y’ello Account’, Branch Manager Diamond Bank Hajiya Asmau Muhammad said: “We are taking banking to the rural areas. We are taking banking to the customers and making banking easier.”
The manager, who was represented by Mr.James Anigbo, noted that kenya with population half that of Nigeria, has more bank customers than Nigeria because Kenya pioneered mobile banking.

Trade Marketing Consultant MTN, Mr. Musa Maxwell said the initiative offers all MTN subscribers, currently put at 58 million, a fusion of financial service and telecommunications incentives.
