MTN harps on access to digital learning as 21 days of Y’ello Care kicks off

According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), MTN Nigeria, Mike Ikpoki at the flag off of the 2014 edition of MTN 21 days of the company in Lagos, enhancing digital learning is critical to Africa’s and indeed Nigeria’s overall development agenda.
He explained that emergence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution provides a real opportunity to promote greater access to basic education through virtual learning platforms.
This, Ikpoki, said informed MTN’s decision to focus on its annual 21 Days of Y’ellow Care initiative on education with the theme: ‘Education in the Digital World’.
He noted that the programme which runs between June 1-21, 2014 when 26,000 MTN staff in 22 countries will dedicate 21 days in various activities aim at improving education in their respective countries.
