MTN Nigeria invested N32.3 billion through its foundation in the past 21 years, targeted at improving national development.

In a statement, the firm generated a 55.1% increase in service revenue to reach N5.2 trillion as shown in 2025 audited results.

The firm attributed the profitability to the engine driving its unprecedented socio-economic contributions across the country.

While financial analysts celebrate the company’s EBITDA soaring by 108.9% to hit N2.7 trillion, the real-world impact is being felt in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

The firm highlighted its contributions in 2025, saying the foundation donated N139 million in medication to 49 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) nationwide.

“This critical intervention facilitated 448,278 attendances and ensured 12,426 safe deliveries, proving that the telco’s corporate success translates directly into saving lives at the grassroots level,” the statement read.

It added that the foundation awarded 1,026 scholarships to undergraduate students in STEM disciplines and those who are blind.

It stressed that 81 music scholarships worth over N900,000 each were granted to nurture local talent.

“Since its inception, the MTN Foundation has invested an aggregate of N32.3 billion across 3,604 communities in 590 Local Government Areas, impacting over 32.1 million lives,” the statement added.

The firm’s CEO, Karl Toriola, noted that 2025 marked a significant turning point with a return to profitability and the restoration of positive retained earnings.
