Africa’s telecom giant, MTN has won ‘Telecom Company of the year’ award and four others at the 2nd edition of the Nigeria Tech Innovation & Telecom Awards (NTITA) held at the Oriental Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The event was organised yesterday by the Instinct Wave in partnership with the Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON).
Other four awards won by MTN Nigeria are: Social Impact Award, Digital Transformation Award, Customer Experience Award and Telcom CEO of the year awards.
Addressing the gathering of ICT industry experts and stakeholders at the event, the Corporate Relations Executive, MTN Nigeria, Tobechukwu Okigbo, said: “We are honored to not only receive these but to have been considered nominees in such lofty categories.
“MTN Nigeria has always and will continue to strive for excellence in all frontiers. Recognition for the work that thousands of us come together for every day is incentive to do more, create more and be more.”
Okigbo, who received the awards on behalf of MTN Nigeria’s management, also thanked the organizers and the independent panel of judges who oversee the selection.
In his remark, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Instinct Wave, Akin Naphtal, said the prestigious award has quickly become the benchmark for outstanding performance and a symbol of excellence in leadership in the highly competitive technology industry.
Daily Trust reports that the award, which has judges formed from an independent panel of industry experts, recognizes organizational performances, quality products and services as well as innovations etc.
