Mugabe takes African renaissance to Obama

He started with crafting and leading guerrilla warfare which broke the back of racial dictatorship by European settlers which opposed human development and wealth creation for Shona, Matabele and other nationalities. He subsequently called the bluff of those who used claims of promoting ‘’democracy’’ to block and reverse his determination to give land back to black Zimbabweans.
His latest screw is to insist that companies mining gold, platinum, zinc, diamond etc must give 51 per cent of their annual profit to a local community hosting the mine. The community, not ‘’big men’’ from the area are to use their earnings for developing their industrial growth and for social, economic and physical infrastructure. For black peoples who had been shut out by European settlers from owning and creating wealth for themselves, this is a renaissance.
This record has earned Mugabe much vilification by Euro-American media and officials. Mugabe telling those who fought in the war for liberation –the  ‘’war veterans’’- to use force against European farmers who refused to surrender land to them was viewed as a fatal virus; threatening veils of racial entitlement to land in Namibia, Swaziland, South Africa and Botswana. The very sight of white farmers wailing, bleeding and fleeing in fear for their lives was considered a profanity. Calls on Thabo Mbeki to invade Zimbabwe and chase Mugabe out of power reached hysteria roofs.
Euro-American admis-sion that Mugabe is as brilliant, resolute, patriotic and courageous, adds to their frustration. In recent bowing to vitriolic criticism of Mugabe among American jingoists Kenyan-fathered President Barack Obama has roped in presidents of Egypt, Sudan, Madagascar, not welcome to in a planned summit of African and American leaders due on August 5th and 6th, 2014. These leaders are considered reversers of marches of democracy in their countries by ‘’suppressing democracy’’. For President Obama whose mandate to implement policies which voters wish to see practicalised has been relentlessly sabotaged by a Republican-Tea Party coalition in Congress, it is cynical for him not to see this faction in Congress as also engaged in the ‘’suppression of democracy’’.
A foreign  policy drive to use the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a vanguard for overthrowing dictatorships in Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the Gulf States and building new ‘’democracies’’ in the region, started a fire of street democracies  from Tunisia. It gave cover for arming Al Qaeda to kill Muammar Gaddafi and wreck his regime on the ground as NATO bombs destroyed its weaponry from skies and ships floating in the Mediterranean Sea. It silenced a voice of African unity NOW!
The ‘’Arab Spring’ in Egypt swept out 30 years of Mubarak’s military and police dictatorship. It swept Mohammed Morsi to power through popular elections and incited the genius of entrenched economic, social, cultural and political elites wielding skills for manipulating public opinion; arousing public discontent by creating fuel shortages; burning Christian churches and monasteries, and policemen inducing horrendous traffic jams in urban areas. Their success hit Morsi’s victory with up to 15 million demonstrators occupying streets while begging the military to seize power.
Limited armed reaction by the Muslim Brotherhood was met with brutalities similar in bile to the genocide in Rwanda. A military coup, presented as a mass democratic mandate, would in June 2014 be followed by an electoral coup in which those who had won earlier elections were barred from contesting. The destruction of a vibrant social infrastructure which ensured access to highest quality education to children of the poor; owned industrial resources and media, is hardly a renewal of Egypt. It can only cynically express an American policy for promoting renaissance in Egypt.
The ‘’politically motiva-ted violence’’ which American  policy of the ‘’Arab Spring’’ has lit in Libya and Egypt – and some would add South Sudan, Central African Republic, and Democratic Republic of Congo – can never be similar to election-related violence in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe for uprooting economic and socio-political injustices. Post-Cold War mayhem in Afghanistan; the ongoing decimation of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq; the wreckage of Syria, and inciting civil war in Ukraine and South Sudan is a policy that is ‘’bound to violence’’; and  decimations of searches for collective warfare and dignified sovereignty.
Obama will, in early August, be hosting 47 African leaders out of a total of 54. Excluding Mugabe who expresses the flag of Africa’s march out of over four hundred years of Euro-American humiliation and ruthless looting of Africa, carries the message of American demands for terms of trade and ‘’mal-development’’ which seeks to block Africa’s road to ‘’fresh air’’ or progressive economic diplomacy with China, Russia, India and Brazil. It is unpardonable that a son-of-Africa President of the United States of America who is committed to economic creativity and revival of that country and its ‘’middle class’’ should be allergic to President Mugabe – the beacon of African renaissance.
A German remark that ‘’God looks after drunks, children, and the United States of America’’, misses the genius of America’s leaders for ruthless use of power to crush those who oppose her self interest. Her protection ownership of vast tracts of land; of mining vital mineral resources guaranteed by white racists domiciled across southern Africa, was anchored on unsentimental national interest.
