Multiple accidents kill 4, injure others in Ogun

Multiple road crashes yesterday claimed four lives and left others with degrees of injuries at different parts of Ogun State.

A report of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, obtained by Eko Trust yesterday in Abeokuta, revealed that the accidents occurred on Monday.

The first accident involving a Blue Peugeot 406 car with registration number JAL 304 RX and an unmarked vehicle killed a male adult around the Ogere trailer park along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The second road crash involving an Iveco truck and a vehicle killed another person and left another injured at the old toll gate plaza on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode expressway.

The report, which was signed by the Command’s Public Education Officer, Florence Okpe, disclosed that the third crash occurred at Kilometre 47 on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and involved a Volkswagen bus and a Bajaj motorcycle.

Three male adults were reportedly involved in the crash. While two of them died, the third person was injured.

The Sector Commander, Clement Oladele, advised drivers to maintain the stipulated 50km per hour maximum speed limit, as well as refrain from overtaking till they are clearly out of construction zones.
