The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a 52-year-old woman, Pat Danjuma, and her son before an Ejigbo magistrates’ court for unleashing their dog on neighbours.

The police said following series of complaints by neighbours that the woman and her son had continually used their dog to torment them on Wodunni Street in Egbe area of Ikotun they were arrested.

The prosecutor, Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the accused persons specifically trained their dog on how to attack neighbours.

The prosecutor said this followed series of disagreements which the accused had in their compound and that ever since then they had been terrorising neighbours with the dog.

The prosecutor further said the situation became worse when the dog pounced on one Victor, one of their neighbours.

He said, “My Lord, the dog attacked the Victor, tore his suit worth over N50,000 after biting him. He was rushed to a hospital.

“The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division and the woman, Patricia, and her son were arrested.”

The Magistrate, Mrs K.A. Ariyo, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned to June 17.
