But first, 18-year-old Musa acknowledges that the Nigerian side will have to overcome their Group B rivals, Madagascar, Ethiopia and Guinea for a place in the 2012 African championship.

“My dream is to play in the Nations Cup with the Super Eagles,” Musa began in an interview with SuperSport.com. “But we must qualify first from our group.” s

The former Jos University Teaching Hospital (Juth) and Kano Pillars’ man is confident that he and his teammates in the Nigerian men’s side will book a place in the Cup of Nations next year.

Musa, who was spotted at Aminchi Football Academy by Premier League side, Juth, said he is happy playing for Dutch Eredivisie side, VVV-Venlo, though they have struggled in that country’s topflight since the start of the season.

The attacking winger added that he is happy to have Nigerian players in Michael Uchebo and Alex Nkume at VVV-Venlo.

The Nigerian international is also keen to help VVV-Venlo survive in the Dutch elite division, as the side are currently 17th out of 18 teams on the log with just 13 points from 22 games.

“I am very happy at VVV-Venlo. I have scored two goals for them this season but we are still struggling and I hope I can help them away from relegation. But I have also enjoyed the friendship with two Nigerian players (Nkume and Uchebo) since I joined them last year,” said Musa.

Musa, who has made 10 appearances for VVV-Venlo in the Dutch league this season, said: “I am happy to be part of this Super Eagles. Samson Siasia is a very good coach and most of the senior players like (Joseph) Yobo and Osaze (Odemwingie) have been good to me.”

He also said that Siasia has spoken to him a lot by advising him.

The VVV-Venlo man, who turns 19 later this year, is looking forward to the March 27 qualifier of the Africa Cup of Nations against Ethiopia. “I am ready to play in that game (against Ethiopia). It is a game we must win,” said Musa.
