According to their individual statements, the organisers indicate that activities lined up for the period include Quranic, Hadith and Fiqh learning, lectures, vocational training, counseling, health-talks and sports among others.
One of the organisers,  Organisation of the Tadhamunul Muslimeen (OTM), FCT branch, said it will hold its ‘Children and Adolescents Camp’ between December 24-28, 2014 at Nurul-Bayan International School Wuse Zone 5, Abuja with theme, “Coping with the Modern Challenges”.
The Al-Mu’Minaat (The Believing Women) Organisation on its part will hold its National Al-Mu’Minaat Training Forum (NATF) themed “Motherhood Today” at the Government Secondary School (GSS) Pasali, Kuje – Abuja.
The decentralised 21st National Islamic Training Programme (NITP) of The Muslim Congress (TMC) themed “Vicegerency: Living up to the Mandate” holds between December 24-27 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ogun, Oyo and Edo states respectively.
Also, the 11th Muslim Children Camping Programme of The Young Muslims Association (TYMA) Northern Zone will hold between December 28 and January 2 at the GSS Pasali, Kuje for children aged four to 14.
The Standard Bearer Islamic Organisation (SBIO) equally holds its 2nd Holiday Islamic Course (HIC) themed “The Vanguard of Change” at the GSS Pasali, Kuje between December 28 and January 2, 2015 for 15 years to undergraduate participants.
On its part the The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) youth wing FCT zone will hold the 2014 Da’awah camp, themed “Building the Heart of a Muslim” between 24-28 December at the Leadership Academy Kuje Abuja.
Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Nawairudeen and Islamic Youth League (IYL) among others would also hold their camps.
Participants are billed to pay between N500 and N3000 for programmes.
Meanwhile, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Dr Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar is to declare open the 98th edition of the Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) of Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) on Thursday December 25.
A statement by the MSSN B Zone Coordinator in Ibadan, Alhaji Mushafau Alaran, said the formal opening will hold at the permanent site of the body at Km 30 on the Ibadan/Lagos expressway.
He said that governors of Oyo, Abiola Ajimobi, Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun and Osun, Rauf Aregbesola would be the guests of honour on the day and that the course will hold from Tuesday, December 23 to Jan. 1, 2015.
He added that Alhaji Sulaiman Adegunwa would be the chairman of the opening while Malam Yusuf Ali (SAN) would deliver a lecture on the theme of the course “A Time to Come” and that other highlights of the 10-day vacation course include seminars, training, empowerment, Qur’an memorisation, lectures, group discussion and sports.
He said the annual IVC was to fully engage the students during the vacation and inculcate in them the true spirit of Islam. Over 10,000 students and workers are expected to attend the course.
