No fewer than 1000 Muslim households have benefited from free distribution of beverages across many locations in Lagos State.
The gesture was made possible through the partnership between Guinness Nigeria Plc and Muslim News, an Islamic newspaper.
Packs of Malta Guinness, a non-alcoholic drink, were distributed to mosques and Muslim homes in Surulere, Coker/Aguda, Orile, Mushin, Awoyokun, Onipanu, Somolu, Ojuelegba and Ikorodu areas of Lagos.
The newspaper’s publisher, Rasheed Abubakar, who led the distribution exercise, expressed gratitude to Guinness Nigeria for the collaborative initiative.
Abubakar, in an interview, said the Islamic month of Ramadan was a period of intense religious and charitable activities especially to the indigent and vulnerable.
