The Association of the Muslim Practitioners (AMP) has sought more humanitarian assistance for the less privileged in the society.

AMP’s Chairman in Lagos State, Abdulrasheed Shabi made the appeal when the association donate gift items to the special and abandoned children at the state Social Welfare Home, Ewutu, Ikorodu.

According to Shabi, the act of giving which is an important pillar of Islam should not be limited to Ramadan period but should be done on regular basis.

Another member of the State AMP, Kamaldeen Oladosu said notwithstanding the current economic challenges many Nigerians are facing, they should nonetheless strive to extend humanitarian gesture to the less privileged and expand the spirit of human kindness.

The Vice Principal of the Social Welfare Home, Mrs O. Odede said the management is doing a lot to meet the demands of the special need children and the abandoned ones within its care. She called on other philanthropists to also demonstrate love and assist the less privileged in the society.
