Muslim women call for demolition of Sokoto’s “criminal” Raymond Village

The Muslim Sisters Organization (MSO) has called for the demolition of Raymond Village in Dange-Shuni local government area of Sokoto over alleged upsurge of criminal activities in the area.

The place sited behind the popular Mami Market along Gusau road is said to be a hideout for all sorts of criminals.

In an interview with newsmen, the National Amirat of the organization, Hajiya Amina Sakaba said the place was a safe haven for drugs dealers, rapists and other criminals.

“We want the state government to demolish the place and convert it to either a skills acquisition centre or school,” she advised.

She also urged politicians to fear Allah and desist from arming youths to be killing themselves during campaigns.

“Remember there is a day of reckoning where you will give account of your deeds,” she said

Earlier the group had organized a special prayers for peace, unity and progress of the country.
