Nigerian Muslim women have been urged to serve as ambassadors of faith, peace and moral guidance, particularly for the younger generation.

Hajia Taofeeqah Fagbolade, National President of Lajna Imaillah Nigeria, stated this during the group’s 46th annual convention in Ondo State, which drew about 4,000 women nationwide.

The three-day gathering featured lectures, workshops, a peace walk, sports and interactive sessions on personal development and community leadership.

Fagbolade reminded participants of their unique role in shaping a righteous society.

“We live in times where confusion is dressed as truth and distraction as progress. But as believing women, we are not lost – because we have guidance,” she said.

She stressed that women are not on the sidelines of Islamic progress but central to the Ummah’s transformation. “Our voices matter. Our character matters. Our example matters,” she said.

She urged women to prioritise modesty over popularity, truth over trends and faith over fear, describing such choices as the path to true success.

Regional leader Hajia Muibat Taiwo Abdulrazaq said obedience to Allah and His Messenger is key to overcoming today’s moral challenges.
