Sheikh Fadlu-r-Rahman Kehinde Tijani, the Chief Missioner of Al-Fatihu-l-Qareeb Muslim Organisation of Nigeria, has advised Muslim youths to practise Islam in the most pristine way and shun any act capable of denting the image of the religion.
He specifically encouraged the youths to embrace the path of righteousness and dedication to the cause of Islam.
He spoke in a chat with our correspondent on the sidelines of the annual Founder’s Day of the organisation held in Lagos.
The founder’s ceremony was in remembrance of the founder of the Islamic group, late Alhaji Munheem Taye Tijani who died in January 2011.
According to him, the remembrance prayer was to appreciate the founder who impacted greatly on youth and in the propagation of Islam.
He said, “Today’s programme is in remembrance of the founder of the society who passed on in the first week of January 2011.
“His impact on Islam cannot be over-emphasised. Most importantly he caught the youth young and encouraged them to practise Islam the way it should be practised.”
The missioner also prayed for peace to continue to reign in Nigeria.
President of the group, Alhaji A. A. Daudu, urged members to remain committed to the ideals of the group anchored on reliance on Almighty Allah as the true guidance and saviour.
He hailed the legacies of the founder in the propagation of Islam across the country and urged all members to follow his path.
