Following the recent tribunal judgements sacking some legislators in Plateau State and the political tension that accompanied it, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has called for calm, saying his administration would deal decisively with perpetrators of political violence and their sponsors in the state.
The governor in a live broadcast on the current political developments in the state yesterday said the citizens should keep having faith in the three arms of government, adding that any grievances must be expressed within the legal framework.
He said his administration will not hesitate to deal with anyone causing unnecessary tension or instigating violence.
The governor said, “The recent developments in our polity have generated and continue to generate unnecessary tensions among our people. We are not unaware of activities by some who are busy conspiring to scuttle the relative peace we are enjoying. We must not allow them.
