The Chief of Mutum Biyu, retired Justice Sani Suleiman, has described the death of Imam A Imam, the Special Adviser on Media Affairs to Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, as a great loss to the Mutum Biyu Chiefdom and the entire Taraba State.
He said in his palace while formally breaking the news of Imam’s death to his council members that the late Imam traced his roots to the chiefdom many years after his parents migrated from there.
He reiterated that Imam had identified himself with the chiefdom and contributed to its development, adding that few weeks to his death, Imam donated N1 million to the endowment fund launched by the Mutum Biyu Development Association.
Special prayers were offered for the deceased at the town’s central mosque.
