A house wife, Zainab Shehu, has alleged before a Grade 1 Area Court sitting in Gwagwalada, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), that her husband always beats and starves her.
Shehu, who resides in Paikon-Kore community of the council, in a complainant she filed before the court claimed that she got married to her husband, Buhari Yau, a year ago but he has been maltreating her and urged the court to dissolve their marriage.
The husband, Buhari Yau, who was in court, denied the allegations, saying he doesn’t beat her up or leave her hungry in his home.
The presiding judge, Adamu Isah, adjourned the matter till Thursday, March 16, 2021 to enable the complainant present her evidence before the court.
