Popular Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus popularly known as ‘Gbobgo Bigz Girl’ has revealed why she prefers keeping talk related to her relationship status as discreet as possible.
The actress who gained popularity and recognition when she starred alongside Funke Akindele in the latter’s popular comedy franchise ‘Jenifa’ said the harm caused by the press and social media has encouraged her to maintain silence with matters regarding her love life.
Badmus in an interview when asked about her love life, said: “Those are the things I don’t like talking about. Let us just talk about my career.
“I don’t believe in talking about personal issues to the press and social media. They won’t make such relationship last.”
She also addressed the current growing trend of social media war of words between celebrities and their fans on platforms like Twitter and Instagram. According to her, fans are not necessarily loyal to any particular celebrity and they can make or break any public figure.
She said; “Nigerians in the Diaspora do not really have loyal fans. My fans are other celebrities’ fans. We don’t have fans that wouldn’t move out from you. So, I don’t reply them.
“I am a comic person. I don’t reply them. Nothing gets to me. There are some comments that get to me but I don’t reply,” she said.
Eniola said: “I am not about that. They are the same set of people that will praise me tomorrow. It is better to ignore such comments.”
The plus-size actress who recently bagged an endorsement with Etisalat, is also known to be close friends with Nigerian music superstars Olamide and Davido.
