Mansura, who spoke with Sunday Trust, said she is aware of the rumour being peddled saying, “I am quite aware of the false rumour in town that my marriage to Sani Danja has crashed but the truth of the story is that I am still happily married to Sani and we don’t even have any marital problem. So it is not true”.

She explained that the rumour is not unconnected to the fact that she recently frequents Kano alone on business missions and stays in her parent’s house located at Brigade quarters.

According to her, “It is not surprising to hear people say my marriage has collapsed and this is because I am trying to set up a business in Kano which is with the consent of my husband and therefore come into town often in order to ensure that all things are going on smoothly”.

She added, “As you know, my husband is a busy person and therefore can’t always come down to Kano with me each time I come to town and because I still have a phobia of staying in my husband’s flat at Badawa layout since armed robbers attacked us, I stay in my parent’s house”.

She further said her mother had to stop her from lodging in their Brigade family house because of the rumour as those close to her even summon the courage to ask her why her daughter was often at her parent’s home.

On her new business dream, she said, “I want to set up a world standard boutique and fashion design centre here in Kano. It has always been my dream for long and now it’s turning into reality with the support of my ever understanding and caring husband.”

Mansurah also spoke on rumours that relations between her husband and his close friend, Yakubu Muhammad, have gone sour as a result of her intervention alongside Sadiya, Yakubu’s wife. She said they are still very good friends and have not had any problems as is being speculated.

“My husband’s relationship with Yakubu is still very cordial and intimate. It is also not true that we have come between them. I also relate very well with Sadiya, Yakubu’s wife and have always been appreciative of the fact that my husband has a friend he can always trust,” she said.   

It will be recalled that Mansurah married Sani Danja some three years ago and Yakubu Mohammed has always been a close friends to Sani in the film industry to the extent that they jointly established “Two Effects” film production company.
