Rising Nigeria contemporary artist and hyperrealist, Agali Deborah Chinomso has said her works are unique and different because her passion for art was extraordinary.

Agali, who is popular on Instagram with debbies_art_ as her handle, said she discovered early that art is the only thing she finds fulfilment in hence she is passionate about it.

She said her family earlier stood against her decision but as they watched her excel in Fine Arts as a child in primary and secondary school, they started supporting her. “They preferred a ‘better’ career for me but at some point, everyone agreed that I should pursue my passion.”

She said she discovered her interest in art in senior secondary school and has been pursuing it.

She noted that technological innovation makes her work easier as she is not restricted to people in Nigeria, adding that her style is unique and will always stand out regardless of the number of artists in the world.

She has done a pencil portrait of several celebrities and influential personalities globally including Kevin Hart, Jeff Bezos, Mohamed Sallah and Folarin Falana.
