Addressing newsmen on his victory at the polls , Ganduje said he would continue the on-going projects initiated by the outgoing governor of the state, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
“My primary objective will be to ensure there is continuity in the administration because lack of continuity is the major problem in most state governments and even at the federal level.
“A situation whereby if you have a new administration, then the trend is that you tend to discard whatever was done in the previous administration in the name of wanting to start your own, forgetting that, it is public funds that is being used to do whatever that are being done. And it is the responsibility of the incumbent government to continue with such programme or projects.
“ We are going to consolidate on the issue of continuity in governance that means all the projects that are not completed; we put our efforts to complete them and the ones that are completed we will put them into operation and maintain them so that Kano state can be moved forward without any stagnation,” he said.
He said he would review the master plan of Kano State to meet the needs and aspirations of the state.
Ganduje who is the governor-elect said he would strengthen the health care service in the state to discourage medical tourism.
He said the people of Kano state deserve to be rewarded for their role in the present elections in the country.
“Our contribution to democracy in Kano state has to be acknowledged in Nigeria today because we provided the highest votes in the presidential election. We won all the 3 senatorial seats and all the 24 House Representatives seats. And we won the governorship and all the 44 state House of Assembly seats,” he said.
